"Inyanga kwaye Ilanga" (The Sun and The Moon)
In the last few years I've been able to do some international traveling, and South Africa was the first place I went. One of many beautiful languages spoken there was "Xhosa", and I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that the language spoken by the people of Wakanda in the movie Black Panther was heavily influenced by the Xhosa language. I knew I wanted to do something dedicated to the movie, and I love masks, so I decided to do male and female Black Panther masks in my "NeoGeoTribal" style. "Ilanga" is Xhosa for "The Sun" and is represented by the male mask. "Inyanga" is Xhosa for "The Moon" and is represented by the female mask. Sold separately or as a pair, this series would be a nice addition to any art collection.
